Fluttering
Flapping Floating I move through the world From flower to flower Drinking for my being Spreading the seed of others Symbiotic Am I selfish to choose? The sea of colors and aromas Competing for my special kiss Natural selection some call it May the fittest survive Many flock to my garden Longing to see My intricate wings spread wide But I choose To pass no such judgment For I am not As I once was Now will I always be As I am now Just as the essence of the caterpillar never dies The majesty of the butterfly is fleeting May you see and accept me For my true colors A living metamorphosis With change my companion And love My life
