If I told you
I knew where these words Came from You would either call me a liar Or God Or someone lying about God If I told you I knew where to find a poet Who took credit for her stanzas You would either call me a liar Or God Or someone lying about poets I f I told you Where to find the lines That played by different rules You would either call me a poet Or God Or someone lying about the difference

I wrote with you within my heart
Before I knew yours was beating I wept with you within my tears Before I knew you could feel them I dreamt with you between my wakes Before I knew I’d find you there I broke with you within my Fears Before I knew you saw the Pieces I walked with you between My steps Before I knew it was the path To you I prayed with you between My breathes Before I knew that you could Answer I loved with you within my Being Before I knew you’d love it so I was with you within the all Before I knew you’d be there too The garden with no gate
Waits for us to enter Two Travelers Headed towards the City of Light With no other place to stay Accused for our beliefs Uncertainty drenching our clothes Two Flames Speaking for the sake of life Knowing no other way Dancing in the moonlight While the fireflies blow us Kisses Two souls Forgetting the fear of judgment With Nothing more to say Accepting the purposelessness Along wth the duties of the doing Two children Skipping to the stories of the youthful For there was no where else to play The garden with no gate Waits for us to enter Two breaths Passing peacefully into the unknowable For it is there, where we Come To pray |
