My concrete feet
Stumble under the life Looking for green Beyond the steel in sight Humbled by storefronts Selling me their goods I wonder to myself Where are my woods? Having walked into the city With its parallel streets Can I find an escape From the rush hour fleets? Continuing I step Over man made lies My heart taking over For my worn out eyes Feeling the warmth From a corner come near Easing the stumble Into a fall without fear For my heart had seen Where my soul could land In the arms of a church With strenght to stand Having found an oasis To water and pray No matter the village Nor time of day So remmber your choice And find your peace For He shines on metal And glistens to cease The worries in your mind Ready to come home To the City of Light Where all hearts shall roam
