I Saw an Angel

Picture
One early summer morning
In the darkness before dawn
With my eyes struggling to
Stay open
A glistening aura
Brought new life into my soul
Spreading her wings wide
She looked down
With wonder
With grace
With awe to her there was
Nothing more scared than
Human life
And nothing more beautiful
Than the blessing of eternal
Happiness
For all those seeking peace
And unconditional love
I stook back in disbelief
Someone so small, yet so
Miraculous
There was no mistaking
Her celestial nature
From beneath her beaming
Halo
She spoke one request
Please, save my mother
So that I may watch over her
From the heavens above
Speechless, all I could muster
Was a simple smile
Still shining forever brightly
The angel smiled back
It's okay, there is no need for
A reply
For it takes much more than
Silence
To keep your face
From speaking a thousand
Words

Because all that science just gets old after a while.
